Materials and care

All D+F pieces are made to order in our Blue Mountains workshop using high quality, locally sourced materials. We use beautiful hard wearing laminates to achieve the finish and look and performance we love: saturated colours that can take daily use. To help you preserve your Doodad + Fandango collection, we’ve included a comprehensive guide to how to care for your collection on the Product Care page.

Shipping

LOCAL
Orders are sent via Australia Post, and shipping fees are determined at checkout. If you have any questions, concerns, or wish to explore alternative delivery methods or insurance for your order, feel free to get in touch with us.

INTERNATIONAL
International shipping is available as Standard, International or Express International rates.

All International post is sent via AusPost.

Courier is available upon request, please email first to enquire about rates.

Shipping times are provided as an estimate only. We are not liable for any delays in delivery once your order has left our studio or for circumstances beyond our control. Please allow extra time for delivery during busy holiday periods. If you’re in the Blue Mountains, you also have the option to pick up your order directly from our studio.

Duties and taxes

International orders may be subject to duties and taxes, including customs and import fees, as determined by your local customs authorities. These charges are the responsibility of the customer, and Doodad + Fandango has no control over them. We are unable to offer refunds for any such fees. For more details about duties and taxes, we recommend reaching out to your local customs office.

Production and delivery turnarounds

Here at Doodad and Fandango we are passionate about responsible production. To avoid wastage we make all items to order. Expect between 2-3 weeks from the date you order to the date we post out to you. In busier times like the holiday periods, production times can take longer. We will contact you if we expect a longer than a 2-3 week turnaround time. Production times can also be affected by supply chains, we will always contact you if we are experiencing delays with our production.

Returns

We take great care in packaging our products, and breakages are extremely uncommon. However, if your items arrive damaged, please take photos of the damage and reach out to us asap.

Change of mind returns are only accepted on full priced items and are decided on a case by case basis.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.Returns must to be sent to:

Custom made

The D+F studio loves making custom pieces but be aware it may not be possible during busy periods. Always email to enquire (not via social media) and we’ll be happy to discuss your ideas.

Please note that all custom designs will incur a minimum design fee of $150, which covers the costs of prototyping, setup, machine use, and other associated processes. This fee will be in addition to the cost of the final item.

As part of our relaunch into home decor, we are no longer offering custom jewellery for individuals. We are now focusing on one-of-a-kind homeware items but remain open to larger jewellery commissions for companies, brands, or artists. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to collaborating on exciting new projects.
